Region 1 Regional Advisory Council ...
A Regional Advisory Council (RAC) works to identify regional needs and priorities for educational services and develop policies to coordinate the delivery of services. In the state, there are 16 RACs, one assigned to each of the State Support Teams. Each Regional Advisory Council has subcommittees that encompass the areas of school improvement, educational technology, special education, professional development and data acquisition.
Each of the 16 regions of the state have a Regional Advisory Council (RAC). The Region 1 Regional Advisory Council members are as follows:
Each Regional Advisory Council has five mandated subcommittees: school improvement, educational technology, professional development, special education, and data acquisition. Members of the subcommittees include administrators, teachers, professors, parents, and others who have knowledge in the assigned area. The Region 1 Regional Advisory Council meets every other month.
