The Ohio Improvement Process: Ohio's Education Initiative
The Ohio Improvement Process (OIP) is a four-stage process using an embedded set of aligned web-based tools for assisting districts to enact essential practices outlined in Ohio's Leadership Development Framework on a district-wide basis. The OIP is Ohio's vehicle for creating a statewide system of support and serves as the primary intervention under Ohio's approved differentiated accountability model for districts in improvement status.

- facilitation and direct support to district leadership teams (DLTs) in the district-wide implementation of the Ohio Improvement Process;
- technical assistance and support to DLTs in establishing and working with building leadership teams (BLTs) and professional and collaborative learning teams, communities, and community school leadership teams to ensure that such teams function at a high level and continually improve instructional practice and performance for all students; and
- assistance and support to educational service centers (ESCs) within the region to ensure a high level of implementation across the region.
