If you’re between the ages of 12 and 25, and have received your COVID-19 vaccine, you could win up to $100,000 in scholarships through the Ohio government. Gov. DeWine made the announcement Thursday, September 23 during a press conference, urging parents and young people who are eligible to receive the vaccine to get it.
The program is similar to the VaxAMillion lottery held by the state earlier this year, focusing on the scholarship element. Under the program, any vaccinated Ohioan between 12-25 years of age can enter to win one of five $100,000 scholarships or one of 50 $10,000 scholarships. That money can be used to pay for tuition at any Ohio college or university but can also be used to pay for vocational/technical/career programs or job training.
Additional information about the program will be released by the Ohio Department of Health and the Ohio Lottery, who will facilitate the drawings once again.
