Description – State Support Team 1 will once again be providing a year long learning opportunity to support your district or school team as you collaborate to support students with disabilities and other students who are at risk of failure. This year we will focus on the following key areas: 1) Developing and implementing an internal monitoring process to ensure students with disabilities have ETR’s and IEPs that are focused on robust Specially Designed Instruction, tier 1 Core Instruction in the LRE and are compliant with state and federal regulations. 2) Developing a process to determine appropriate LRE, ensuring General Education is considered first; and 3) Provision of updates and information from the Ohio Department of Education as it transitions to the Department of Education and Workforce and the Department of Children and Youth.
