The State Support Team Region 1 is excited to bring Dr. Paul Riccomini in for a three day PD Math Series on Retention Strategies in the Math Classroom. This series will provide teachers with specific strategies for organizing both instruction and students’ studying of material to facilitate learning, remembering, and applying critical mathematical concepts and skills in new situations.

Dr. Paul J. Riccomini is an experienced classroom teacher, author, mathematician, and leading special education expert who has taught mathematics to both general and special education students in inclusive settings. He is co-author of the best-selling Response to Intervention in Math and Developing Number Sense through the Common Core. Currently, he is a Professor of education at Pennsylvania State University. Dr. Riccomini brings both strong content knowledge and a focus on robust collaborative relationships to his teaching experiences with general and special educators. Participants will earn 6 contact hours per session equaling 18 for the series and are strongly encouraged to attend all three sessions.
