The Ohio Department of Health is offering an exciting opportunity for local and public non-profit healthcare agencies to serve students’ healthcare needs and maximize their learning time through newly released grant funds for school-based health centers. School-based health centers offer a wide range of services, including medical, dental, vision, and behavioral health care.
Funding needs may include:
- Planning for a new school-based health center in or next to a school where one does not currently operate
- Start-up funding to open a new school-based health center
- Supporting operational and expansion projects to existing sites
Schools and districts can learn more about this comprehensive wellness approach on the Department’s school-based health center webpage.
Applicants must submit required documents through the Ohio Department of Health Grant Management Information System Portal by 4 p.m. on June 23.
Interested applicants can contact LeAndra Capers and Jennifer Casertano for additional information.
