Webinars to support knowledge of special education accountability data coming in April

The Ohio Department of Education and Workforce is launching a new series of virtual professional learning sessions in April designed to help educators and education partners better understand and utilize the data that goes into Ohio’s Special Education Profile and Ratings. The first sessions will take place on Tuesday, April 14 from 1-3 p.m. and Thursday, April 23 from 9:30-11:30 a.m.

These presentations offer focused, in-depth learning on individual data topics to strengthen special education data literacy. The sessions are live and virtual, and registration is not required. Access more upcoming sessions on the special education accountability training hub.

Each two-hour session will dive into key topics, including:

  • An in-depth review of the Special Education Indicators
  • Validating Special Education indicator data
  • Guidance on how to utilize the various resources, such as technical documents, EMIS, and Secure Data Center reports used to validate data reported which result in Special Education Profiles and Ratings.
