2025 WATER Grant Recipients Announced

The District’s WATER grants provide direct funding to local educators in our water service area so they can teach the importance of protecting our water resources. This year, $8,150 was awarded to water-focused educational programs in seven schools. Congratulations to the following teachers and students in their classrooms:

  • Northwood High School – Haley Eaton
  • Elmwood Middle School – Victoria Ahrens, Kelley Borton, Shelby Bratt, Steven Gehret, Theresa Guay, Rebecca Peery, Katie Smith, and Kayla Seidel.
  • Rossford Schools – Beth Cramer, Scott Dorn, Rachel Hood, Jason Isaacs, Ron Recknagel
  • Eastwood High School – Keith Madaras
  • Lake High School – Tom Mahas
  • Otsego High School – Bob Furlong
  • Perrysburg Schools – Woodland Elementary – Brooke Stroble

Launched in 2014, the WATER grant program reflects The District’s mission of responsible environmental stewardship and responsive public service. By investing directly in classroom resources, the program bridges scientific knowledge with environmental understanding.
