The How and Why of Sound Walls is an extension of the Emergent Literacy Series as well as Phonological Awareness (Heggerty Professional Learning), LETRS and the Science of Reading. Participants will learn how to effectively set up and use a sound wall with the purpose of elevating daily Tier 1 instruction for ALL students by reviewing the 44 speech sounds (including the 18 vowel sounds) and providing spelling options for each sound. The daily use of sound walls develops automaticity in student’s ability to access sounds and match spellings to each sound.
Participants attending the training will receive, free of charge, the Kid Lips Instructional Guide and Kid Lips picture cards.
