Community schools must annually notify the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce of the school’s election to receive the gifted performance indicator under Ohio Administrative Code.
To opt-in, community schools must complete and return the Community School Gifted Performance Indicator opt-in form to the Department by July 1, 2026.
By opting in, the school will have the gifted performance indicator as a contributor to the school’s Gap Closing component rating as part of the Ohio School Report Cards.
